A R Murugadoss Directed Vijay’s ‘Thuppakki’ Resuming After Pongal Break!

Shankar directed ‘Nanban’ is a big hit and Vijay the lead actor is more than happy about the outcome of the film and the way his career is reshaping up after a few film duds at box-office.

‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ is joining A R Murugadoss for the first time with his current film ‘Thuppakki’ that he has already started and in December last year and completed its 33 days shoot, the first schedule in Mumbai. The team ‘Thuppakki’ is to start their next schedule soon. In his message in a micro-blogging site, A R Murugadoss has written, “after 33 days of shoot, Pongal break now! We are prepping for a big action sequence! Vijay is awesome as always ”.

‘Thuppakki’ will have Vijay in a new getup and complete facial makeover that he never sported in any of his films till now. Along with Vijay, the film has Kajal Agarwal, Sathyan, Akshara Gowda and Gautham Kurup in prominent roles. Harris Jayaraj scores music and Santosh Sivan handles camera. Editing is by Sreekar Prasad and the film is produced by V Creations. ‘Thuppakki’ will be releasing in mid-2012!
