Vijay is similar to Rajini: Shankar

The audio launch of Nanban started at around 5 pm at the Hindustan College Grounds in Coimbatore. Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, SJ Suryah, Yugabarathy, Chinmayi and several others attended this event.

A huge garland and crown was handed over to the Ilayathalapathy to honor him. He then enthralled the audience with the Yedho Unnale song from the film. Vijay also spoke about his experience while on the sets of Nanban. He said that Srikanth is a good actor and Jiiva is the prankster. He also praised Sathyaraj and SJ Suryah for doing their roles well. The Ilayathalapathy also took the opportunity to thank Shankar for giving him the role.

When Shankar’s turn to take on the mike came, he said that Vijay’s punctuality is similar to that of Rajinikanth’s. Shankar also told the audience on how he came to remake 3 Idiots. It was during the shooting of Endhiran that Shankar took some time off to watch 3 Idiots because of a shooting delay. As soon as he saw the film, Shankar mentally noted down that he will remake the film one day. That’s the story behind this remake!
