Vijay speaks in Kannada, enthrals Kannadigas

layathalapathy Vijay's entry to Bengaluru was no less than a festival for his fans out there. They welcomed the actor, who visited the capital city of Karnataka for the promotion of his forthcoming movieVelayudham, by bursting crackers and chanting his name at Poornima theatre.

The Kaavalan star was given a feel of Tamil Nadu in Bengaluru. Moved by their affection and love, Vijay started off his words by talking in Kannada and said, “Ellaru chennagidira? (Are all fine?).”

“I am glad to be here in Bengaluru again and you welcome me here in the exact way I am received in Tamil Nadu. I have always got good support from audience here.” Vijay said. As he recalled his last visit to Bengaluru for his friend Shivaraj Kumar's 100 movie Jogaya launch, the fans screamed at the top of their voices and cheered for both Tamil and Kannada superstars.

Talking about the film, “Velayudham is close to his heart. You might have seen many films of mine with a lot actions, good picturisation of songs etc. But the forthcoming movie is different because it has a strong message with all necessary commercial elements.”

Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani starrer Velayudham is distributed by K Manju, a leading Kannada producer. The movie directed by Jayam Raja is releasing worldwide on October 26.
